Kenetics Electronic Livestock Management System (KELMS), as it’s name suggest, is an RFID system already implemented in multiple cattle and sheep livestock farms in Australia . KELMS helps increase the efficiency of the operation, helps the Livestock Authority in enhancing the traceability of the meat source and thus ensuring the quality of the meat that reaches consumers like us. A complete KELMS consists of:
KELMS Efficiently reduced a typical 3-days laborious and trouble-plaque data gathering process is reduced to a simple, seamless and straightforward 1-day exercise. The Reliability of the Kenetics design meant that the burden of data gathering is fully removed from the hands of the farmer, who now only needs to concentrate on herding the animal to the crush. Data of high Integrity allows faster decision-making, better livestock data (for use in optimizing livestock feeds and practices), and faster detection of diseased animals. The ideology of KELMS is not just applicable to cattle and sheep, it’s Expandability may cover livestock like hogs, horses and many more. |
